Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LanDocs. By using the app or the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

LanDocs ("the service", "we", "us"), operated by Miha Marko, is a browser-based tool for drawing and documenting computer networks. The app runs in your browser; your diagrams are stored locally on your device and in files you choose to export.

2. Access & accounts

A free demo is available with no account, limited to a small number of devices and with exporting and saving disabled. Full access is provided through an active membership on Patreon. By logging in you authorize us to verify your membership and tier via Patreon. You are responsible for keeping your Patreon account secure. If your qualifying membership ends, your full access ends with it.

3. Payments, billing & cancellation

All billing is handled by Patreon under Patreon's own terms. We do not process or store payment details. You can cancel at any time through Patreon; cancellation stops future charges and ends full access at the end of your current billing period. We do not control and are not responsible for Patreon's billing, refunds, or fees.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to bypass the access gate, share access credentials, or circumvent membership requirements.
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the service except as permitted by law.
• Interfere with, attack, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

5. Your content

The networks, diagrams, and any data you create with LanDocs are yours. Because that content is stored locally in your browser and in files you export, you are solely responsible for keeping your own backups. We have no access to it and cannot recover it for you if it is lost (for example, by clearing your browser storage).

6. Intellectual property

The LanDocs software, design, branding, and website content are owned by Miha Marko and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your membership is active. It does not transfer ownership of the software to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. LanDocs is a documentation and diagramming aid. It does not monitor, manage, or guarantee the correctness, security, or performance of your actual network, and you should not rely on it as your sole source of truth for operational decisions. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Miha Marko will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service — including any decisions made based on diagrams created with it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for access in the three (3) months before the claim, or USD $50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Miha Marko from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time and cancel your membership through Patreon.

11. Changes to the service & to these terms

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time, and we may update these terms. When we update the terms we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
