Privacy Policy

LanDocs is a browser-based network diagramming tool. This policy explains what little data we handle, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your network diagrams stay on your own device.

Your diagrams never leave your browser. Every network you build — devices, IP addresses, notes, port assignments — is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and in files you choose to export. We do not upload, receive, store, or have any access to the contents of your diagrams.

1. Who we are

This service ("LanDocs", "we", "us") is operated by Miha Marko, based in Slovenia (EU), who is the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR. The app runs at our website and as a static application in your browser. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at plexmedia20a@gmail.com.

2. Data we handle

Account & access (via Patreon)

Full access to LanDocs is granted through Patreon. When you log in, you authorize us via Patreon's OAuth flow. We receive only the information Patreon shares with us to confirm your identity and membership — typically your Patreon user ID and your current membership/tier status (and, where Patreon provides it, your name and email). We use this solely to verify that you are entitled to access the app. We never see your Patreon password.

Authentication cookie

After a successful login we set a single essential cookie (access=granted) so the app knows you are entitled to the full version. This cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Analytics

Our marketing pages use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (for example, how many people visit and which features draw interest). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and may process information such as your IP address, browser, and pages visited. We use this only in aggregate to improve the product. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser's cookie controls.

Server logs & hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes standard request data (such as IP addresses and request metadata) to deliver the site securely and protect against abuse.

Your network diagrams

As noted above, diagram content lives entirely in your browser and in files you export. It is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage will remove locally saved diagrams, so export anything you want to keep.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

All payments are handled by Patreon. We never receive or store your card or payment details. Patreon's own terms and privacy policy govern your billing relationship with them.

7. Data retention

We retain the minimal account/entitlement information needed to provide access for as long as your membership is active. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Diagram content is controlled entirely by you, in your browser.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email plexmedia20a@gmail.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Because most data lives with Patreon, you may also need to manage some choices directly in your Patreon account.

9. Children

LanDocs is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

10. International transfers

Our providers (Patreon, Cloudflare, Google) may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. They maintain their own safeguards for such transfers as described in their respective privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
